Abstract

The trend of self-care has grown rapidly in modern society as a response to the increasing pressures of life and stress. Many individuals adopt this practice to improve their physical and mental well-being. The misconceptions application of self-care in society can lead to imbalances in important aspects of individual health. Self-care practices that focus solely on physical relaxation or consumption of certain products, without addressing mental and social needs, can exacerbate long-term health problems. This study explores how misunderstandings and misapplications of self-care can negatively impact an individual's well-being. Findings suggest that an understanding of self-care is necessary for individuals to utilize this practice more effectively. In light of this, there is a need for more in-depth education on appropriate self-care concepts, as well as social support that supports overall well-being. This will provide better guidance in practicing beneficial self-care.
