Building School Social Capital and Collective Solidarity Through Religious Learning
Main Article Content
Abstract
This comprehensive literature study examines the fundamental teachings of Islamic religious education in shaping student social identity fostering interpersonal care and social responsibility and strengthening school social capital to encourage active participation in community life. Qualitative document analysis reveals that prophetic values derived from classical and contemporary Islamic doctrines successfully transform cognitive religious understanding into practical pro social behaviors among adolescents within modern educational institutions. The findings demonstrate that interactive classroom pedagogical methods combined with structured school philanthropic programs cultivate collective solidarity and mutual trust among students while effectively mitigating the negative impacts of contemporary global individualism. Furthermore robust institutional collaboration between schools and local communities enhances social capital accumulation which prepares young learners to address complex humanitarian issues and contribute meaningfully to public welfare and national development. Ultimately Islamic religious education functions as a vital moral instrument for producing highly ethical graduates dedicated to building a just and civilized society across generations.
